HEALTH SYLLABUS Basic Information:
Health is a course designed to provide students an opportunity to examine and increase their basic knowledge of healthful living. Thought and discussion are encouraged. A major goal is for each student to take personal responsibility for their health and well being while attempting to make positive lifestyle changes. Areas Covered:
- Term class (1/2 credit)
- Required course for graduation

- Wellness and Decision Making for Personal Health
- Diseases and the Transmission thereof
- Mental Health and Psychological Development
- Nutrition, Diet, & Other Related Issues
- Family Life
- Community Service (CPR, Belleville Blood Drive support, etc.)
- Total Point Grade (70% of the class grade)
- Daily assignments (Assignments Turned in daily)
- Major projects
- Written exams (Mid Term Exam and Final Exam)
- Class participation
- Extra-Credit assignments are available to raise a student's grade or make up missing work.
- Course Project (30% of the class grade)
